Saint Joseph Cathedral

Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Based on the several successful projects at the Cathedral under the direction of then Bishop Robert J. Carlson, the new Bishop Paul J. Swain invited Mr. McCrery to offer his sketch ideas for possible improvements to the Cathedral Church itself. These sketches focused on the Cathedral Sanctuary and called for: New Altar with Baldachino, new Pulpit, new Cathedra, and new shrines to Mary and Joseph, all in a more traditionally configured Sanctuary precinct.

Commissioned by the Most Reverend Paul J. Swain, Bishop.
